Gutturnio Doc

In the past Gutturnio DOC was a typology of the “Colli Piacentini” DOC label, but in 2010 it was officially recognised as a label in itself, which had however to be followed by one of the following terms: frizzante (sparkling), Superiore (Superior), Classico Superiore (Classic Superior), Riserva (Reserve), Classico Riserva (Classic Reserve). Wines must be produced from a blend of Barbera grapes (from 55% to 70%)
and Croatina grapes (locally known as Bonarda, from 30% to 45%).
